Nook Color app downloads hit 1 million. (Froyo) and Flash support when users took to the Web. The free update also included access to more than 125 free and paid apps. The company said today. As of the date of this post, this is the complete list of free apps for the Nook Color. This applies to a non-hacked Nook Color, of course. A hacked Nook can install hundreds if not thousands of free apps from the Android Market. Like I said, the B&N store isn’t currently sorting apps properly, but there is a workaround for finding the list of free apps on B&N.com.

Not happy with the new update!
Before the update you could see the cover of all the books you had available to read in your library. Now you have to scroll through either by author or title and click on each to see them. Of course you can see recent ones that way, but I want to see all my books like it was before. Plus I have to do this with all my archived books also which takes forever if you can’t remember who wrote it or the exact title. I do not understand why they had to change that aspect of the app. Bring that option back, please!! Ok, they let me know I could view them that way by title or most recent, which is good, but why take away the choice by author? For those of us that read a lot this seems like a crazy change to make, this is a reading app after all, anything available in title should be available in author also(the same format). So, still no 5 stars because of that. Don’t understand why you changed that option:(
Thank you for listening and adding back the choice to search by author or title with the book cover. I am very happy!! You get your 5 stars back:)

Developer Response,
Hi JAMarsh65, you can still view your Library items by cover -- all you have to do is open the sort/filter menu (tap the bolded text along the top left that likely says “All Types by Author”) and Sort By “Most Recent” or “Title.” You can also change to Filter By 'Archived,' to view just the items you've archived. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Support team or visit the FAQs for tips and tricks on getting the most out of the new experience.
Getting better but still needs work
When I started this review, I was more glad (see next paragraph) than I am now. Every update seems to decrease function and, today, no txt appears for any book I open. I may be finished trying to make it work. Sorry I recently purchased several new titles!
Glad to have Nook on my iPad but wish maneuvering through the app wasn't so clunky. Not close to ease of Nook device but still better than earlier version. Why the app can't let you purchase but the device can is unfathomable. Other reviewers have mentioned the inconsistent sync function which appears to have gotten worse: why can't you fix this? Your tech support doesn't take the time to read the question being asked and makes useless, futile suggestions. Had thought I wouldn't change because I have too many titles to use different one, today's experience may have convinced me to move on.
My final comment relates to the inability to utilize coupons for Nook purchases. The price fixing on e-books is a disgrace. The only advantage is portability and it does not outweigh the cost differential and the inability to lend any book I own to anyone I wish. Technology has bypassed common sense again!!

Developer Response,
Hello Too old to tap! It sounds like you are suffering from the rare “blank pages” issue. We have identified this as being due to a bug in Apple’s iOS 12. It is not related to the NOOK app update. Please power off and power back on your device and this should resolve the issue.
Unfortunately, allowing purchase within the app is an issue for most companies that sell digital content on iOS, not just NOOK. Until that situation changes, we are doing the best we can by allowing you to shop and add to your wishlist. Then access the same wishlist via BN.com to complete your purchase. We hope this helps!

The AMD package actually comes with other drivers too for the PCI, GPIO, and SMBus devices as well. There is still one device that reads 'standard sata ahci controller' which I think is what you mean. Sm bus controller driver download amd asus laptop. There can be benefits, mostly its just.ini files that lets Windows read what device however its always best to have the lastest files installed.
APP Support needs improvement
I have had few problems with the app and I am relatively sure the they are acting on crashes that generate dump data but when I run into non-crash problems: there have been two recently (1) portion of text after end line hyphenation not displaying for certain font sizes, and (2) app freeze to an unresponsive colored screen that I had to reload the app to clear, the responses I get from support are canned. Yes, for most users it might be what they need to clear the problem but I already said I fixed the problem. I am giving information about the problem, for (1) how the app developers can reproduce it, and for (2) everything I tried and failed to clear the problem and as much information about the circumstances and behavior I can gleam. I have been a software engineer longer than probably any of the app developers have been alive and I know the importance of information rather than a simple it's broke or doesn't work. However, I do not get any feeling that my support e-mails are leading to to any bug investigation or fixes.

Since the original NOOK Color launched, Barnes & Noble has released a new line of NOOK devices manufactured by Samsung. These comprise of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 NOOK, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook, and the budget-priced Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK 7.0.
With firmware update 1.2 the NOOK Color took big steps away from being an e-reader with a few extra functions toward being a bargain Android tablet. Barnes & Noble also introduced its own NOOK Apps store. There were under 150 apps on launch day, but essentials like Angry Birds is available for the NOOK Color!
The feature list for the NOOK Color update included:
- NOOK Apps, app store. Launch offerings included Epicurious, Oprah Mobile, QuickOffice and Lonely Planet audio phrasebooks, and Angry Birds.
- Full-featured email client that supports POP and IMAP for popular email services like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL.
- Adobe Flash Player support, providing access to YouTube and Flash animated websites.
- NOOK Friends (beta), a social network for readers that enhances LendMe functionality.
- Faster page turns and animations.
- Enhanced reading experience with kid's Read and Playbooks and multimedia embedded instructional books (cookbooks, photography, etc.).
Barnes & Noble is rolled out the update to NOOK Color owners over their WiFi connection, but users could download the firmware update directly to their computers and load it onto their NOOK Color devices with a USB cable.
First Impressions
The update to the NOOK Color was an impressive one, and the added Android functionality made for a much more compelling NOOK experience. The NOOK Apps offerings were a little underwhelming at the start, but more developers and content was planned. Unfortunately, there was no comic book app available, which is something the NOOK Color's display is well-suited for. Pricing for apps was comparable to other platforms, with many of the apps set in the $0.99 to $1.99 price range, with some higher.
Free Apps For Nook Color
Email access is a nice feature, though users with a smartphone may not find it that big of an addition. For those who prefer to travel light, it may be more compelling if they leave behind their phones.
The web browser loaded content quickly. In preliminary testing, the NOOK Color did indeed handle Flash content, but YouTube content which hadn't been optimized for mobile browsing stuttered badly.
Download Games For Nook Color
NOOK Firmware 1.2 was much more than a cosmetic update and made NOOK Color owners happy campers. It wasn't a significant change to the overall e-reader experience, however, so it didn't disrupt a user's reading experience by having to learn new interfaces or features. For those who were longing for more functionality and a Android functionality, it was a welcome update.
